Taylor Swift has revealed that she is now re-recording her previous albums.
The singer-songwriter announced the move during her remote acceptance speech from the studio during the 2020 American Music Awards.
“You guys have been beyond wonderful all the years of my career, but especially this one when we’ve been so far apart. The reason I’m not there tonight is I’m re-recording all of my old music in the studio we originally recorded it,” Swift said in a pre-recorded video.
Swift was among the night’s big winners along with Dan + Shay, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd, who all won three awards each.
Swift led the pack, winning the most coveted honor of the night, Artist of the Year. She also won awards for Favorite Music Video for her pop hit “Cardigan” and Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist.
With the awards, Taylor extended her record for most AMA career wins to a whopping 32.
