Steph McGovern, 39, will be making her return to breakfast television this week, two years on from her BBC Breakfast exit. The broadcaster will begin fronting the Paralympics Breakfast Show to cover the Tokyo Olympics from tomorrow.
After announcing her role presenting the show earlier this year, Steph updated her fans about her return to TV.
Writing to her Twitter followers, she posted a behind-the-scenes picture yesterday.
This featured the broadcaster posing with her “Tokyo Paralympics bible” at the studio.
Alongside it, she penned: “In rehearsals for the @Paralympics coverage on @Channel4.
“I’ll be co-presenting ‘Paralympics Breakfast’ with @Arthurvw1986 every morning from 07.30 – 09.00 from 25th Aug to 5th Sep. #C4paralympics.
“Good luck @ParalympicsGB,” Steph continued.
As many will know, this will be the first time the star is back on morning television since quitting BBC Breakfast.
She left that show back in 2019 to front her own television programme on Channel 4.
The former BBC broadcaster also posted on Instagram ahead of rehearsals starting as she shared her excitement about the news.
She revealed she’ll be filming in the same studio as she presents her show Steph’s Packed Lunch.
Sharing a snap of her in view of her 44,000 followers: “Tomorrow we start rehearsals for the Paralympics coverage on @channel4 #c4paralympics
“Every morning 07.30 – 09.00 from Wed 25th August to Sunday 5th September I’ll be co-presenting ‘Paralympics: Breakfast’ with the fabulous @arthurvwilliams.
“Live from our @packedlunchc4 studios in Leeds (it’ll look a bit different!!)
“I cannot wait to bring you all the latest from our amazing athletes. Go Paralympics GB!!”
Steph is co-hosting the morning coverage with BAFTA-winning presenter Arthur Williams.
Arthur is also a professional Paralympic cyclist and former Royal Marine.
He and Steph will be sharing what happened overnight at the games.
Elsewhere, Steph has confirmed Packed Lunch will also be back from its summer break soon.
This comes after a fan asked her and co-star Oti Mabuse about when the show is back.
Steph confirmed on Twitter it will be returning on September 6, the day after the Paralympics finishes.
