After her son Rex was rushed to hospital following a nasty accident, Stacey Solomon has revealed the little boy's surname for the very first time.

The pregnant star, who was recently told to rest during her pregnancy by her pals, posted a snap of her son lying down on his hospital bed.

In the snap, two year old Rex could be seen with a hospital band on his wrist, which displayed his full name.

As the 31 year old mum shares her boy with fiancé Joe Swash, the pair opted for Rex to have a double-barrelled surname.

The band stated his full name is officially Rex Toby Francis Solomon-Swash.

The Loose Women star also took the opportunity to thank the NHS and revealed Rex would be ready to go home.

She wrote: "Everything went so well. We will be back home soon.

"Thank you for your lovely kind messages. Thank you to everyone here @bhrut_nhs from giving birth here to fixing the pickles your staff and everyone who works so hard in your trust have always been so amazing."

Stacey continued: "And I know first hand how busy and hard worked you all are. So grateful to our NHS always and forever…

"Thank you for all that you do. You’re so incredible. And we are so lucky to have you."

The tot was rushed to hospital at the weekend after he suffered from a nasty fall.

The doting mum told her fans on her Instagram story: “We had a nightmare yesterday, Rex fell over in the garden and we were like ‘up you get!’ and then we looked and it was not an ‘up you get’ situation."

Rex had butterfly strips put on his lip at A&E to hold the cut together.

Stacey said they would be returning for further treatment on Monday.

“I’m gonna go back today and get proper stitches coz it’s in a really awkward place, but he was so good, he didn’t make a sound he was just like ‘yeah fix it’ to the doctor, he was so good."
