They released this cheesy photo of themselves to ensure the media gives the story about their private life more prominence
A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan said: “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”
Taking to his Twitter page, Piers Morgan, 55, shared the picture and couldn’t resist taking a swipe at the pair.
He wrote: “BREAKING: Harry & Meghan have announced they’re pregnant and released this cheesy photo of themselves to ensure the media gives the story about their private life more prominence – in their latest courageous effort to stop the same media focusing on their private life.”
Piers’ post sparked mixed reactions from his seven million followers.
One wrote: “Can you not just congratulate them and wish them luck and that they have a healthy baby boy or girl! Instead of going on like a pr**k!”
A second commented: “Ffs man. If someone posts a picture on Facebook of them being pregnant does that remove their right to privacy?”
A third added: “He will always find a reason to drag Megan and Harry. No matter what they do. Its obsessive and sad.”
Others seemingly agreed with Piers and queried the couple’s intentions.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their senior royal duties last year and currently live in California with son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who turns two in May.
The pair, who tied the knot in 2018, said they wanted to lead a private life away from the spotlight.
It’s not the first time Piers has taken a swipe at the pair.

He has previously claimed the former actress ghosted him before she met Prince Harry.
He said: “I’d say, ‘How are you’, then ‘Did your messages get lost in the post?’
“She won’t have given me a moment’s thought in the rear-view mirror!”
Piers went on to say: “In my opinion she’s one of the most ruthless social climbers I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”
The host’s Good Morning Britain Susanna Reid called Piers out on his treatment towards Meghan in her Daily Mail online last October.
She wrote: “Piers and I argue more times than I can count on both hands in the course of an average week.
“There’s his harsh treatment of Meghan Markle, which is not on, whatever she’s done, his views on feminism, his belief that fat-shaming is a good way to make us all lose weight.”
