Meghan Markle’s estranged brother vows to do ‘anything’ to meet Archie and Lilibet

Thomas Markle Jr has said he’ll do “anything” to meetMeghan Markle’s children, Archie, two, and four month old Lilbet, and that he wants to apologise for the previous comments he made about her.

Thomas Jr, who shares the same father as Meghan,made explosive comments about his 40 year old sister while starring on Australia’s Celebrity Big Brotherwhere he accused Meghan of “walking all over” her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, and issued a warning toPrince Harry.

Thomas Jr now appears to want to apologise for his comments in the hopes of being able to finally meet his niece and nephew, and branded his Big Brother statements as being an “overreaction”.

“I don't need a photo op to go see my sister and I don't want a story behind it," Thomas Jr told Aussie publication to New Idea Magazine.

He continued: "I don't want anything – I would just love to go over to their home and knock on their door, give her a big hug and a kiss and say I missed the hell out of her and apologise right to her face.

"Maybe one day that will happen. I'd do anything to see Archie and Lilibet."

Thomas Jr also claimed to the the publication that he and Meghan were “very close” when growing up.

He said: "We were very close, even though our families were, you know, living in different locations we still got together for the holidays and lots of quality time.

"I was thrown to the wolves with the popularity and the media with no experience.

"I was being backed into a corner, into a wall. I made some horrible mistakes and still regret them to this day."

In a bid to defend his previous explosive comments about his sister, Thomas Jr said the was “under so much pressure”.

The 55 year old explained: “Maybe I overreacted because the same exact thing happening to Meghan was happening to me.

"I reacted on some information I got from some PR person at the palace that maybe didn't have anything to do with Meghan and she didn't even say it.

"But me being under so much pressure and hounded and harassed, all I wanted was them off my back.

"I love my sister, I always have."

Meghan’s dad,Thomas, has also expressed his desire to meet his two grandchildren.

Talking about not having met his young grandchildren, Thomas told GMB'sSusanna Reid: “I’m very concerned about that. I’d love to see my grandchildren and people have suggested in California that I sue to see them.

“I think if I did that I’d be a hypocrite and doing the same thing that Meghan and Harry are doing. I don’t want to include my grandchildren in this kind of situation. I want to see my grandchildren with friendly parents and friendship all around. I don’t want hostile parents," he continued.
