Mark Labbett revealed he has lost nearly 10 stone in his latest social media offering. The Chase star has continued to keep his fans updated on his weight loss journey, after being diagnosed with diabetes in 2017.

The 55-year-old took to Instagram to share a photo of himself while out in the sunshine with his dog.

The dad-of-one opted for a casual look as he sported a T-shirt, which he paired with a grey jacket and jeans.

In the lengthy post, Mark promoted FitBit as he addressed his new health regime.

In view of his 21,400 followers, the quizmaster penned: “I completely changed my lifestyle around when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2017.

“Since then I have prioritised my overall health and fitness and have been on a real life weight loss journey losing nearly 10 stones since my diagnosis.

“I’ve become much more physically active by going on walks with my dog and mindful about my sugar intake to help manage my diabetes and have also started eating breakfast which I never did before!”

He added: “I now make the point, whenever I am home, of sitting down with my son, eating breakfast and starting the day well!”

The Chase quizmaster went on: “I can now make healthier lifestyle choices powered by these insights such as regular exercise, a healthier diet and maintaining a healthier weight to help control my blood glucose levels and thus help manage my type 2 diabetes symptoms.

“This summer I am supporting @diabetesuk one million step challenge, which is encouraging us to take one million steps from July 1 to September 30 that’s about 10,000 steps a day.”

The Chase star also urged fans to join him in supporting the initiative.

Mark concluded: “Join the challenge with me to start stepping to a healthier you and to help raise funds that will change the lives of everyone affected by diabetes.”

The ITV favourite was inundated with messages of support, as social media users gushed over his appearance.

“You have done so well and look amazing for it! So motivational,” one penned.

Another remarked: “You look amazing, well done.”

A third chimed: “You have done amazing! Those jeans are hanging off you now!!! Well done on your progress.”

While a fourth added: “Brilliant turn around Mark.”

In recent months, the 6ft 6in chaser, best known as The Beast on the ITV show, has sported a much slimmer physique.

Back in March, he told The Sun: “This is the lightest I’ve been in 25 years. I’m now under 20 stone, and I am really feeling the difference, as well as seeing it.”

The former maths teacher, who tipped the scales at 29 stone at his heaviest, said his knees were feeling the benefit of his weight loss.

The Chase continues today at 5pm on ITV.
