In 2018, Kanye West opened up to TMZ about having liposuction. “I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all,” the rapper (pictured in early 2017) said while gesturing to his midsection. “I got liposuction because I didn’t want y’all to call me fat like y’all called Rob [Kardashian fat] at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim [Kardashian] got married [in 2014]. I didn’t want y’all to call me fat so I got liposuction.” He shared that after his surgery, he became addicted to the opioids he was prescribed to deal with the pain during his recovery, and that he got off the medication just before he was hospitalized amid a late 2016 mental health crisis.

Simon Cowell was long open about his love of Botox. But in 2015, after Sharon Osbourne noted he couldn’t move his face much, he announced that he would scale back. “Hopefully I look better now — I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it,” he said at the time. “Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment.” But that would change just a few years later…

_

In 2018, Simon Cowell got specific about his plastic surgery, telling The Sun on Sunday that he’d visited cosmetic surgeon Jean-Louis Sebagh for a Silhouette Soft Lift. The $2,700 procedure, the newspaper wrote, “involves sewing bioplastic-infused thread into the face and neck and tugging it to get rid of sagging skin.” The “America’s Got Talent” judge explained to the newspaper, “There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox.” He would change his tune again a few years later…

What a difference a few years makes! “There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero,” Simon Cowell told The Sun in 2022. The star — seen here that April —insisted he was done using injectables after realizing he looked “like something out of a horror film.” The “America’s Got Talent” judge confessed, “There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognize it as me.”

Mickey Rourke, seen here in 1986’s “9½ Weeks,” was known for his stunning good looks early in his career.

_

Mickey Rourke’s boxing career resulted in damage to his pretty face, which meant he needed to go under the knife and have reconstructive surgery. Unfortunately, he didn’t choose a great doctor. “Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together,” he told MailOnline in 2009. “I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.” He’s seen here in 2010 after those surgeries.

“GTL” — gym, tan, laundry — was the motto for the “Jersey Shore” guys, including star Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio (left), who liked to show off his abs on the beach. (He’s seen here in 2010 with co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.) But nearly a decade later, Pauly needed some extra help to keep that chiseled bod.

DJ Pauly D showed off some impressive abs in Cancun, Mexico, in 2019, but it wasn’t just from the gym. The Blastreported that the “Jersey Shore” star had undergone liposuction. Sources told The Blast that though Pauly was in good shape already, he underwent an abdominal etching treatment to highlight his six pack not long before this beach retreat.

“Vanderpump Rules” star Jax Taylor had already gone under the knife twice to fix his nose before we ever saw his face on Bravo. But he decided the third time might be the charm in 2015…

_

Viewers watched as Jax Taylor got a third nose job on season 4 of “Vanderpump Rules.” He explained that he had surgery again to fix a bump on his nose.

Music star Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers might be young, but he’s already a fan of a cosmetic procedure he’s tried to minimize unwanted lines and an old scar…

_

Joe Jonas got candid about his experience with injectables in 2022 after partnering with the Botox alternative Xeomin, a double-filtered more purified version of the botulinum toxin that’s used to smooth wrinkles, frown lines and crow’s feet. He said he’s also used it to minimize a scar between his eyebrows, further telling Allure that he “didn’t feel like I was a different person [by using it]” and that it “gave me that confidence that I think we all want to feel as we get older.”

Movie star Sylvester Stallone has an incredibly recognizable face, but he’s made some tweaks to it in recent years…

_

In 1992, Sylvester Stallone told People magazine that he because the nerves on the left side of his face were damaged when he was born — he was delivered with forceps that left him with a crooked mouth — and because his face later sagged when he lost weight preparing for “Rocky,” he had that half of his face surgically lifted. He also told the magazine he doesn’t have a problem with plastic surgery, explaining, “Why not do it? You have body work done on your car.” In more recent years, doctors speculated to Closer Weekly that the “Rambo” star has also had eyelid lifts, a brow lift and a neck lift.

Here’s what Clay Aiken looked like in 2003 when we first met the Midwestern kid as he was competing on the second season of “American Idol.”

_

Refreshingly, Clay Aiken has been very open about his plastic surgery journey. The singer told Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” all about his procedures in 2012, explaining, “I had operative surgery on my jaw for a TMJ thing and I had them suck the fat out of my chin while they were in there. I was like, ‘You know what, while I’m already down, go ahead and take the vacuum in there and suck the fat out of my chin.'”

“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” was a massive hit in 2000, catapulting actor Chow Yun-Fat to stardom. By that point, he was already more than a decade into subtly tweaking his appearance. Find out how next…

_

Not only did Chow Yun-Fat fess up to having plastic surgery — he offered to refer people to his doctor! “As I grew older, my eyelids began to droop,” the actor, pictured in 2012, explained in a 2009 TV interview. “I began going for cosmetic surgery in Hong Kong when I was filming ‘God of Gamblers’ in 1989. If you go to Hong Kong for cosmetic surgery, I can introduce you to the doctor. He’s cheap and good.”

We first met Dr. Paul Nassif as Adrienne Maloof’s plastic surgeon husband on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and we now know him as the star of “Botched.” He’s clearly familiar with the ins and outs of plastic surgery, but not only when it comes to working on his patients — because he’s had work done himself!

_

In 2019, Dr. Paul Nassif confessed that he underwent a facelift in 2018. He opted to have the procedure done after feeling self-conscious about extra skin around his face and jawline after losing weight, telling Page Six, “The excess skin, especially in my neck, was driving me crazy.”

Rupert Everett rose to fame in the ’90s thanks to his broody good looks. Years later, he made a major change to his appearance.

_

Though Rupert Everett, seen here in 2016, looks different to many observers and denied having plastic surgery, he told The Telegraph in 2014 that he was a fan of one particular procedure: He was having his own blood injected into his face every four months. “They put [the blood] through a Magimix, turn it into plasma and inject it back in. It’s really good for your skin. Blood is the new thing,” he said, adding that “a little bit of laser” is “very good for tightening.”
