Lucy Mecklenburgh gives birth – Former TOWIE star welcomes second child with Ryan Thomas

Lucy Mecklenburgh has given birth to her second child with fiancé Ryan Thomas.

The star announced the news on Instagram as she shared a sweet photo of her newborn baby girl.

Former TOWIE star Lucy, 30, announced the incredible news with a gorgeous black and white image of her little daughter in a white baby gro, along with some pink love hearts in the caption.

On her Instagram stories, Lucy shared the same sweet image, with a GIF reading: "She's here!"

Lucy and Ryan are already parents to son Roman, who turned two this March.

Ryan is also father to 13 year old daughter, Scarlett, who he shares with his ex, Tina O’Brien.

Chloe Lewis was one for the first stars to send their congratulations as she wrote under the snap: "Ohh congratulations Luc! She’s here."

Lucy was overdue with her baby girl and had been sharing the countdown of her daughter's arrival with her fans.

She recently celebrated her grandmother’s 90th birthday at a garden party and revealed she had expected to take her newborn daughter to the party.

She wrote: “Nanny’s 90th birthday celebrations I thought I would be here with her 1st great granddaughter but she’s keeping us all waiting a little longer! 40+6 now

“Best nanny & great nanny in the world love you lots Nanny Meck”.

Former Coronation Street star Ryan recently competed on ITV series The Games and before the show began, he revealed on This Morning that Lucy had reached her due date and could give birth at anytime.

The 37 year old had appeared on the show to discuss his stint on the show, when host Phillip Scofield noticed Ryan glancing down at his watch during the interview.

Pointing it out, Phillip said: “There's extra pressure really because I just saw you have a look at your watch there, I'm assuming that is not just a watch.

"Are you looking at messages from home? Because how close is Lucy actually to giving birth?"

The former soap star responded: "Like, this week close," to which Phillip replied: "No way!"

Ryan had confessed that his time on The Games could be cut short as he added: “She sent me a picture this morning and I can't tell you how low this baby looks. If this little girl comes this week, I am out of the show.

"So, fingers crossed I get to the end of it, I can finish and complete it and move on to the next chapter of our lives."

Though very close to her due date, Lucy was ever the supportive fiancee as she went to support Ryan at The Games.

The brunette beauty joked that she was "praying her waters don't break" during the show and explained that she hadn't seen Ryan in days due to the gruelling schedule.

Posting a picture inside the Velodrome during the live track cycling races, Lucy penned: "I decided to surprise @ryanthomas84 tonight" with a heart emoji.

In a different snap, Lucy shared a radiant loved-up selfie with Ryan as she displayed her growing baby bump in a black dress and white denim jacket.

She penned: "Good luck baby @ryanthomas84 @thegamestv I've not seen Ryan since Sunday. Me & Roman have missed him so much," with a blue heart emoji.

Lucy added: "Praying my waters don’t break mid show hahahaha", followed with laughing emojis.

Lucy and Ryan met when they both appeared on Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls.

Ryan popped the question in 2019, on a romantic holiday in Italy.
