Kerry Katona in tears as she’s struck down with another nasty illness

Kerry Katona took to Instagram to update fans on her health, sharing that she's been under the weather recently and that she's been struck down with the flu.

Yesterday, December 12, the former Atomic Kitten singer, 42, posted a couple of selfies complaining about her illness.

In one snap Kerry can be seen frowning, while text over the image reads: "This is what an ageing ex popstar looks like full of flu."

A second photo showed Kerry laying in bed, over which she wrote: "Just wanna feel better!!!" Luckily, it seems her prayers were answered, and she later added: "Feel loads better after a few hours' sleep [love hearts]."

It comes after the mum-of-five recently opened up about her health anxiety, after a panic attack left her feeling like she "was going to die."

Discussing this in her new! magazine column, Kerry said: "I was lying down in bed and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. My throat and chest felt really tight, it was awful.

"I felt like I was going to die. I’ve arranged a call with my doctor but if it gets worse I’ll go to A&E."

Continuing, she added: "I suffer from health anxiety and I’m really scared."

Kerry also recently revealed that she'll be undergoing corrective surgery in January, following a secret "botched" tummy tuck, which left her with two belly buttons.

Speaking to fans in a video, she said: "I never looked after myself properly and I've messed it all up, my body is really swollen. Thank God for Pall Mall because they're going to do corrective surgery on me in January."

Alongside the video, she penned the caption: "Can’t wait for January in fact, I think I might just move in with you guys!!! Getting my eye lift too!! Woohooo."

Despite having numerous surgeries done, the TV star previously said that she was “dead scared” ahead of having work done to her teeth.

In a vlog shared to her YouTube channel, Kerry was shown having her own teeth looked at as she began to panic ahead of the procedure.

“Every time I go to say it, it makes me feel sick,” she nervously said to fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

The clip then skips to the singer looking overwhelmed a she sits in the dental chair, telling the person holding the camera that she “feels stupid” for getting so scared.

After getting her back teeth done, Kerry took to Instagram to share an update with fans, where she admitted that she was still slightly sedated.
