Kate Garraway, daughter Darcey, 15, and son Billy, 12, enjoyed a day out at London’s Winter Wonderland yesterday. The Good Morning Britain host put on animated display as she spent time with her offspring.

The trio were without the presenter’s husband Derek Draper for the annual, festive event.

The former lobbyist, who the 54-year-old wed back in 2005, is still battling the effects of the coronavirus.

The political adviser, also 54, was first hospitalised in March 2020 and only returned home in April last year.

Kate and her kids made the most of their time together, hitting up numerous attractions in Hyde Park.

The ITV favourite was seen playing a game at one of the fairground stalls, tossing red rings at the glass bottles.

Judging by her expression, the group weren’t fairing too well but that didn’t put a dampener on their spirits.

Wearing a black beret and her hair down, Kate stood out from the crowd in a royal blue coat.

She matched her fluffy jacket with a coordinated, rollneck jumper dress and dark trousers.

Kate polished off her off-duty look with chunky, embellished boots and an over-sized black handbag.

She went into full mum mode, taking plenty of snaps of her children on the rides.

However, she certainly wasn’t going to miss out on all the fun, jumping on the carousel with both Darcey and Billy.

Waving her arms in the air, at one point she looked as though she had lost her balance but quickly regained her composure.

Kate couldn’t hide how much fun she was having, with a huge smile on her face that matched her teenage daughter’s.

The star’s outing came just hours after it was announced she had been included in the New Year’s Honours list.

The star has been recognised for her services to broadcasting, journalism and charity.

She has been awarded an MBE after documenting her husband’s recovery from COVID-19.

Derek was admitted to intensive care after contracting the virus, and was put in an induced coma.

He returned home on a trial basis over a year later, and it is believed he still needs around the clock care.

Speaking on GMB on Christmas Eve, Kate revealed that she is unsure whether he will ever live a “full” life again.

“He still has extraordinary problems with communication, mobility is very limited, massive problems with fatigue,” she told viewers.
