Jared Leto reveals he was TEAR GASSED in Italy after getting caught up in an anti-vaxx protest in Italy

Jared Leto had himself quite the interesting weekend, finding himself getting tear gassed while attending a vaccine protest in Italy.

The 49-year-old actor took to his Instagram story over the weekend, reveling he was attending a vaccine protest when police arrived and he was tear gassed.

He would go on to share photos and videos he took at the protest as well, which happened on Saturday.

‘”Got caught in a protest in Italy. From what I gather it was about vaccine mandates/green pass,’ Leto said on his Instagram story.

‘Got teargassed then called it a night,’ Leto added.

He shared video footage of the riot on his Instagram story as well, but it doesn’t show him getting tear gassed.

The protest was seemingly against new mandates in Italy that will require workers to have a Green Pass, which verifies employees have had at least one COVID-19 shot.

After October 15, any employee who fails to provide their Green Pass will be suspended from their job without pay.

Leto has been keeping plenty busy with a spate of new movies, including Morbius, which was recently pushed to 2022.

Sony Pictures revealed on Monday that they are pushing their Spider-Man spin-off Morbius into Fall 2021, according to Deadline.

While the movie was currently slated to arrive on March 19, it will now hit theaters on October 8, which could be the first of many spring projects to move.

While it’s unclear if there are any direct ties to Venom, Morbius does have a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Michael Keaton returning as Adrian Toomes a.k.a. Vulture, from 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.
