Dustin Johnson, 37, will return to the course for this year’s Ryder Cup in the USA. Prior to the big tournament, he has been enjoying family time with his 32-year-old model fiancee Paulina Gretzky and their two children; River and Tatum.

So what exactly is his relationship like with Paulina? Express.co.uk takes a look into their past interviews.

The couple first met back in 2011 through Paulina’s mum Janet, who had played golf with him previously.

She arranged a date for the pair, who swapped numbers and haven’t looked back since.

In 2014, the daughter of hockey player Wayne Gretzky reflected on the moment she first set eyes on Dustin.

The mother-of-two spilled: “She told Dustin about her daughter, blah-blah-blah, and invited him to the house that night.

“I’m sure he was rolling his eyes, and so was I when my mom invited me over to meet this golfer she had just met.

“So I show up looking like a complete ragamuffin, and here’s this really cute guy.

“I didn’t stay long, but he was such a gentleman, so endearing,” she added to Golf Digest.

Two years after meeting, they got engaged in 2013 and are set to marry this year.

In 2018, Dustin gushed about his wife-to-be in a rare emotional tweet.

The golfer wrote: “Every relationship goes through its ups and downs, but most importantly, we love each other very much and are committed to being a family.

“Thank you for your love and support.”

The following year, Paulina claimed “men are a work in progress” when asked about dating advice on Instagram.

According to the New York Post, she replied: “Be with someone who loves you for you and never tries to change you.

“Also, be patient. Most men are a work in progress.”

Earlier this week, the model shared a cosy snap of the pair at a dinner ahead of the Ryder Cup.

Paulina showcased her jaw-dropping legs as she sported a figure-hugging black dress with white heels.

Dustin opted for all white attire and matching shoes for the evening.

She went on to share a snap of the pair holding hands, where she flashed her engagement ring.

The USA will take on holders Europe at Whistling Straits this afternoon.
