With “Skin and Bones” reaching No. 8 on Billboard‘s Rock Airplay chart, Cage the Elephant have secured the record for the most top 10s in the history of the list.
Cage the Elephant now have thirteen top 10s on the Rock Airplay chart, breaking a tie with Shinedown, who are now second all-time with twelve.
The Foo Fighters are third with eleven top 10s followed by The Black Keys, Muse, and Twenty One Pilots with ten each.
Cage the Elephant took sole possession of the record as “Skin and Bones” saw an 18 percent jump in audience impressions to 4 million in the tracking week ended December 20, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Billboard noted Cage the Elephant first reached the Rock Airplay top 10 with its debut single, “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” which peaked at No. 6 in July of 2009.
