The One Show presenter Alex Jones, 44, has taken to social media to share a special moment with fans. The favourite BBC host revealed she is pregnant with her third child weeks ago and yesterday said that the experience is just as “magical” this time, while sharing a snap of her sonogram.

Posting on Instagram stories, the Welsh presenter shared a picture with her 292,000 fans.

The snap featured a picture of her baby girl on a sonogram, who was clearly visible on the screen.

Alex captioned the picture: “There she is. Still magical.

“Even the third time,” alongside a smiling face emoji.

The BBC TV host already has two sons, Teddy and Kit, with husband Charlie Thomson.

Alex and her insurance broker beau first met at a party 10 years ago.

In 2015 they tied the knot at Cardiff castle on New Year’s Eve before welcoming their first child, Teddy, in 2017.

Two years later, the TV star revealed on The One Show that she was pregnant for a second time and told former co-host Matt Baker that they were now a “family of four”.

Speaking to co-host and singer Ronan Keating, the Welsh host announced her third pregnancy on the BBC show at the end of March.

Shifting in her seat, Alex said: “I feel really nervous all of a sudden.

“It just feels like a good time to share some news with everybody and the crew in the studio for the first time.

She continued: “Lockdown’s been anything but predictable and we’ve had some really unexpected news, baby number three is on the way.”

Her announcement was met with applause from the studio and Ronan called it “fabulous news”.

After being quizzed by the former Boyzone singer, Alex revealed that she was having a girl.

Following the news on the show, Alex took to Instagram where she opened up on her pregnancy in a sweet black and white snap.

The presenter captioned the photo: “The best surprise ever. “

The picture saw her smiling with her two sons, while husband Charlie was holding up a board that said “Baby number three on the way”.

Alex previously opened up about the heartbreak she faced after she suffered a miscarriage in 2017.

She told The Telegraph’s Stella magazine: “The baby had stopped developing at about nine weeks.

“That was really hard. It hit us like a ton of bricks.”
