Adele has revealed she reconciled with her estranged dad Mark Evans before his death earlier this year.
The Hello singer, 33, has had public feuds with her dad over the years – after he walked out on his family when Adele was just three years old.
Adele, who is now mum to son Angelo, explained how Mark's alcoholism and "lack of presence" left a "void" she was "definitely always trying to fill".
She candidly told Oprah Winfrey during the CBS special: "I had absolutely zero expectations of anybody, because I learned not to have them through my dad.

"He was the reason I haven't fully accessed what it is to be in a loving, loving relationship with somebody."
Earlier this year, Mark died age 57 following a battle with bowel cancer for many years.
Despite reports the pair were not able to resolve their issues before his death, Adele has revealed she and Welshman Mark did reconcile – and he even listened to her new album.
The father and daughter reconnected three years ago after he became seriously ill.
Adele explained to Oprah during the TV special, One Night Only, that her father had previously avoided listening to her songs over the years.
She explained in the one-off programme, which aired in the US on Sunday 14 November, the only song he had listened to was her 2007 track Hometown Glory.
The singer told Oprah: "He never ever played any of my other music. He was like, it’s too painful. He would switch it off and he never ever played any of my other music."
But, in April this year the pair were able to have a conversation which finally brought her closure. And, during a conversation on Zoom, the hitmaker played him her album 30.

Adele, who recently opened up on the pain of missing her son, revealed: "We forgave each other… We found our peace together, and then I played the album to him on Zoom."
One song from the new album in particular she wanted to her father to hear was To Be Loved, which explores how her dad's absence affected her ability to trust others.
"It was amazing for me and him," she said. "I think he could listen to me sing it, but not saying it – we are very similar like that."
Speaking of him listening to the album, she added: "His favourites were all of my favourites, which was amazing.
"So it was it was very, very healing [and] when he died, it was literally like the wound closed up."
