Lara Lewington, 42, wife of Money Saving Expert founder Martin Lewis, has bid farewell to her BBC co-star Marc Cieslak. Marc will be leaving the Click team to join the BBC News team as a technology correspondent.

Lara tweeted to her 47,100 followers: “Congratulations @MarcCieslack, well deserved.

“A loss to us, enjoyed you as my desk buddy (remembering every line from every film and doing the voices – and it all being lost on me), but imagine I’ll see you more in coming months than I have in previous ones!”(sic)

Marc replied: “Thanks Lara, I’ll miss having one of the nicest people in broadcasting at the next door for sure.”

The BBC’s newest technology correspondent announced his job news on Twitter.

He said: “Job news time: I’m very sad to be leaving one of the best teams in the business @BBCClick.

“But I’m excited and honoured to take on the role of BBC News Technology Correspondent, following in the footsteps of the legendary @ruskin147.

“In my opinion it’s one of the best jobs in news.”

Fans were quick to comment their congratulations, including Lara.

Lara is a BBC television presenter, journalist and former weather presenter.

CBBC presenter Ortis Deley said: “Niceo one Marc. Huge congrats!”(sic)

Catharina Moh, a broadcast journalist on Click, said: “This is amazing!! Congratulations Marc!”

She joined BBC’s Click in 2011 as a reporter, and now co-presents the show with Spencer Kelly.

Lara has been co-presenting the show since 2018, as well as her many other roles.

The presenter has been called upon by Radio 4’s Woman’s House, BBC Breakfast and Radio 5 Live to talk about the latest technologies.

Lara’s career began in 2003 when Channel 5 employed her as a weather presenter.

She spent six years at the channel, also becoming the showbiz correspondent for Five News.

Due to this experience, she had a short stint as a showbiz correspondent on Sky News.

Click is a BBC television programme covering technology news and recent developments in the world of technology and the internet.

The TV star married Martin Lewis in 2009 and the couple welcomed their first child together three years later.

They are both happily married, and try their best to have time off work to spend with their daughter, Sapphire.
